Effective as of the date posted on this page. This disclosure explains how Rise Credits Loan works as a business, how we are paid and what that means for the offers you see. Please read it before you submit a request or accept any loan offer.
We Are a Connector, Not a Lender
Rise Credits Loan operates a free loan-matching service. We collect the information you provide on our request form and pass it to lenders and lending partners in our network. We do not make loans, make credit decisions, approve or deny requests, or set rates, fees or repayment terms. We are not an agent, broker or representative of any lender, and we do not act on your behalf in dealing with lenders.
Submitting a request does not mean you will receive an offer, and receiving an offer does not mean you must accept it. Any loan you take out is an agreement between you and the lender alone.
How We Are Compensated
Our service is free to borrowers. We are paid by the lenders and lending partners in our network. Compensation may be paid when we pass along a request, when a lender makes an offer, or when a loan is funded, depending on the arrangement.
This compensation may influence which lenders receive your request, which offers appear on our site and the order in which they appear. A lender that pays more may be shown more often or more prominently. Compensation does not change the rate or terms a lender offers you; those come from the lender's own review of your request.
Not All Lenders or Offers Are Included
Our network does not include every lender or every loan product available in the market. Some lenders that might offer you better terms do not work with us. We encourage you to compare offers from banks, credit unions and other sources before you decide, and to read our explanation of how our matching service works.
Rates and Terms Are Set by Lenders
Each lender sets its own APR, fees, loan amounts and repayment schedule, and each lender decides whether to make an offer at all. Factors commonly include your credit history, income, existing debts, the loan amount, the term and the state you live in. Lenders may verify your information and may check your credit, including through a hard inquiry that can affect your credit score.
Before you sign, review the lender's Truth in Lending disclosure, which shows the APR, finance charge, amount financed and total of payments. Ask the lender about origination fees, late fees, returned-payment fees and whether there is any prepayment penalty.
APR Ranges and Repayment Terms
Personal loans from mainstream lenders can range from about 5.99% to 35.99% APR, and lenders that serve borrowers with fair or poor credit may charge higher APRs, in some cases well above that range. Repayment terms generally run from about 3 to 60 months. These ranges are general estimates, not offers. Your actual APR and term depend on the lender, your state and your credit profile, and may fall outside these ranges.
Federal law caps the cost of many loans to active-duty servicemembers and their dependents at a 36% Military Annual Percentage Rate under the Military Lending Act. Many states also set their own limits on rates and fees.
Representative Example
The following is a representative example and an estimate only. It is not an offer and does not reflect any specific lender.
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Loan amount | $2,000 |
| APR | 29.99% |
| Term | 12 monthly payments |
| Estimated monthly payment | $194.96 |
| Estimated total of payments | $2,339.57 |
| Estimated total interest | $339.57 |
This estimate assumes no origination fee, on-time payments and a fixed rate. If a lender charges an origination fee, it may be deducted from the amount you receive or added to the balance, which raises the true cost. Use our personal loan calculator to estimate payments for other amounts, rates and terms.
Late and Missed Payments
Missing a payment can lead to late fees, returned-payment fees and collection activity, and lenders may report late payments to credit bureaus, which can lower your credit score. Some lenders offer hardship options or payment date changes if you contact them early. Policies on late payments, renewals and collections are set by each lender and are described in your loan agreement.
State Availability
Our service and the offers in our network are not available in every state. Lenders are licensed in some states and not others, and state laws limit loan amounts, rates, fees and terms in different ways. Some loan amounts or products shown on our site may not be available where you live.
Independence From RISE Credit and Elevate Credit
Rise Credits Loan is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to RISE Credit, Elevate Credit, Inc. or any lender that uses the word "Rise" in its name. When our guides discuss rise credit as a search topic, we are describing what borrowers look for, not offering that company's products.

All trademarks, service marks and brand names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners. Their use is for identification and comparison only and does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
